Each Monday, Curio412 will be highlighting good news of service and innovation in our communities both near and far!

Today we are sharing Marketing Pittsburgh's virtual run, Outrun Hunger. This virtual run from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles supports Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. It’s the first leg of a virtual race with the collective goal of criss-crossing the country to benefit Pittsburgh charities. Here's how it works:

🏃This is a collective virtual run, kind of like a relay race. We're totaling the miles and trying to reach 2.438 miles (distance to LA Regional Food Bank from Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank)

🏃Participants sign up, run as many miles as they want, and log them on to the web site

🏃Participants can log miles multiple times, as many and as much as they want (the event began May 1, so people can log miles retroactively)

🏃We're on the honor system
