Beer Towne beautifully exemplifies the idea of People Helping People. Their team genuinely cares about their community and are continually working to lift others up. This year Beer Towne was nominated by North Hills Community Outreach (NHCO) where they have sponsored events and have provided in-kind donations. Each year they run multiple youth and adult entrepreneurship cohorts, host community workshops, deliver summer youth programming, and support multiple nonprofits through creating vibrant partnerships.

Honeycomb Credit (website)

Honeycomb's mission is to build vibrant, financially empowered communities. They do this by empowering everyday people to lend to small businesses in their community or across the country. The small businesses that receive loans from Honeycomb then go on to open food trucks, expand breweries, or hire more people. This year Honeycomb Credit has deployed over $3M to over 70 small businesses. All of this investment has come from over 2300 everyday people and impact investors passionate about investing in small businesses. Notably, 60% of the businesses that have successfully raised capital on Honeycomb are woman-owned businesses, and 35% are BIPOC-owned. Learn more about Honeycomb Credit in our Good Spirits interview with CEO, George Cook.

NextTier Bank (website)

NexTier is dedicated to being a business leader and a responsible corporate citizen in the communities they have served for over a century by helping local families and businesses achieve their financial goals, and by giving back to the community through employee volunteerism, donations, and fundraising. The impact that NexTier has had on the community is far reaching. This year they were nominated by Glade Run Lutheran Services where, in addition to sponsorship, the Butler location coordinated a back-to-school drive and collected many boxes of school supplies for children in need in our school and in the community. A large group of NexTier employees from Butler also took part in a United Way Day of Caring on Glade Run's historic Zelienople campus, spending the day painting fences.
